Velo’s Katie Painter continued her strong vein of form by taking second place in the Maria Thompson Memorial Road Race held on the Norwood Hill circuit in Surrey.

Despite racing with second category women Katie took second place in the 50 mile road race, which included over 700 metres of climbing, building on her strong finish the previous week.
